Tuesday, June 29--Greenbrier State Forest

Jane, Josh, and Chris plan the orienteering courses.

The staff spent at least 10 minutes trying to decide if this snake was dangerous. It resembled a small rattlesnake, but the round eyes indicated that it was most likely a hog-nosed snake mimicing a rattlesnake. The snake also had a way to flatten its head and make it look more triangular, and shook its tail in dry leaves to sound like rattles.

Indian pipe--found in abundance in the woods.

Jane & Josh conclude the first-ever Talent Show. (Sorry for all the "flash-bulb eyes". All the other pictures didn't look good.)
