Cranberry Glades
The Cranberry Glades -- a unique ecosystem in West Virginia, and particularly
known for it's exotic flora.
The only way to get up into the Glades is on the boardwalk. This helps protect
the environment and keeps your feet clean and dry!
Sundew -- a carnivorous plant that traps insects on its stickly leaves, then
slowly digests the insect.
Pitcher plants trap insects in their pitcher-shaped leaves. On the photo below
right, you can see the hairs that keep insects from crawling out of the pitcher.
