The trip to the vernal pool at Douthat State Park is always a Governor's School favorite.
Wading in the vernal pool muck.
But some would rather risk walking on logs.
And when we're done, we have to clean the gear in a nearby stream.
The green frogs did not appreciate us disturbing their home.
These tiny frogs were all over the area. As best I can figure, they are immature wood frogs.
Dragonflies were numerous.
Back at DSLCC, a group of us came across a group of goats and dogs from a neighboring farm.
