Before setting up camp at the Greenbrier State Forest, we had a photo-collecting hike at Roaring Run in Botetourt County.
Finishing a journal assignment that involved using all senses except sight.
Getting a species photo along the trail.
Crossing Roaring Run on one of the wooden bridges.
Every year, some of our participants join the "Polar Bear Club" at the swimming hole
at the top of the trail. The water is COLD!
The faces tell the story!
Not everyone decided to go for a dip.
On the way to the Greenbrier State Forest, the equipment van had a flat tire.
Our campsite.
