Our day begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 2:00 PM
Bring your flash drive and camera and field journal.
Your e-guide must be completed before you leave today.
If you need extra time, the computer lab opens at 8:00 AM.
Bring a bag lunch. Drinks are available from vending machines for about $2.00
E-Guides, Journals and Notebooks must be completed and will be reviewed at lunch time.
Parents and family members are invited to a short reception at 1:30 PM.

Our day begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM
Bring a bag lunch. Drinks are available from vending machines for about $2.00
Bring your flash drive and camera and field journal. We will be completing e-guides today.
T-Shirt design is complete. You can purchase a T-Shirt for $10.
Journals and Notebooks will be reviewed at lunch time.
Tomorrow is Independence Day, so we will not have class. Enjoy your holiday! We'll see you on Friday, July 5.
Tuesday, July 2
Our day begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM
Bring a bag lunch and a drink. We will have a picnic at Douthat State Park.
Wear suitable clothing -- we will be walking around Douthat State Park -- rain or shine! So bring your raingear if appropriate.
T-Shirt design has been decided. T-Shirts will cost $10.
Bring your flash drive and camera and field journal. We will be working on e-guides today.
Journals that needed some work will be reviewed in the afternoon.
Monday, July 1
Our day begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM
Bring a bag lunch. Drinks are available from vending machines for about $2.00
Bring your T-Shirt Designs. We will choose a design soon!
Bring your flash drive and camera (cell phone) and field journal. We will be working on e-guides today. Your work will go much more smoothly if you organize your photos this weekend (a folder for each tree).
Don't forget your notebook (binder), reflection journal, and Woody Plant Identification Guide, as well.
Journals and Notebooks will be reviewed at lunch time.
Tuesday, June 25
Our day begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 3:30 PM on Thursday, June 27
Bring a bag lunch for a picnic at Roaring Run.
Use the camping checklist! But don't over-pack!
Bring your camera and field journal.
Comfortable walking shoes and a water bottle are musts for this trip!
If you want to join the "Polar Bear Club" at Roaring Run, wear your swimsuit under your clothes. There's no changing room at the top of Roaring Run trail!
You may want some money for firewood (about $5 per bundle).
On Thursday, we will also make a stop at the visitor center at Cranberry Mountain,
which has a gift shop and usually has soft drinks for sale.
There's a swimming pool at Greenbrier State Forest that we may be able to take advantage
of at a cost of about $5 per day.
Bring any props or equipment you need for the Talent Show on Wednesday evening.
Don't forget raingear, some warm clothes (e.g. sweatshirt, jacket) for cool evenings, insect repellent, and sunscreen.

Monday, June 24 -- Forestry Study, Day 1
Our day begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM
Meet in Room 350 in Scott Hall.
Bring a bag lunch. Drinks are available from vending machines for about $2.00
Bring the camera(s) you will be using for your field guide.
Returning Salamander Study participants -- bring your binder, field notebook, and drawing pencils.
Dress for the weather. Wear good walking shoes: we will be doing a good bit of walking around campus and going into the woods to prepare for our forestry study. Flip-flops are not acceptable footwear!

Bring a bag lunch. Drinks are available from vending machines for about $2.00
If you want a T-Shirt, bring $10. No extras will be ordered!
E-Guides, Journals and Notebooks must be completed and will be reviewed at lunch time.

You may want some spending money for short stops at the convenience store in Greenbank and $5 for pizza lunch on Thursday.
Don't forget raingear and warm clothes.
